The Leader Within: Uncover Your Authentic Leadership Style
Most leadership training falls into one of two traps. Some courses inspire but leave participants without tools. Others teach models that never connect to who the participant actually is. The Leader Within avoids both. Over two days, participants uncover their own authentic leadership identity and equip it with practical tools they can use the week they return to work. The goal is a leadership style that is recognisable, memorable, and genuinely theirs, so their people are inspired to do great work and become leaders in turn.
Objective
By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:
- Analyse their own leadership identity through role models, anti-role models, and personal values to articulate a composite authentic style.
- Reflect on personal crucible experiences and extract actionable leadership lessons.
- Evaluate the tension between serving and leading and apply servant leadership to their own context.
- Distinguish the authentic concept of ikigai from its common misrepresentation and connect daily practice to sustainable leadership.
- Define their personal True North and synthesise values, purpose, and lessons into a 90-day leadership transformation plan.
Outline
Module 1 — Role Modelling. Good, bad and anti-role models; behaviours and traits; choosing and blending role models; writing a personal goal declaration.
Module 2 — Forged in Crisis. Triggers for change; working with emotion; the crucible experience; turning a defining moment into a call to action.
Module 3 — Servant Leadership. Called to serve and called to lead; the balance of serving to lead and leading to serve; diagnosing team health.
Module 4 — Ikigai. Purpose made practical rather than aspirational; daily consistent practice; aligning values with daily behaviour.
Module 5 — True North. Finding your true north; persistence and passion; synthesising the programme into a 90-day transformation plan.

Methodology
The programme interweaves identity work with practical tools in every module. No session is purely reflective, and no session is purely instructional. It follows a Be → Do → Have arc: Day 1 focuses on who you are as a leader, Day 2 on what you will do about it, with the work continuing through a 90-day plan after the programme ends. Each block moves through four modes of learning: participants learn frameworks, do exercises and role-plays, reflect on their own experience, and apply insights to their real teams. The trainer provides structure, frameworks, and provocation; participants provide the content of their own leadership story.
Participants leave with a completed learner’s guide containing their “Who are you today?” and “Who are you becoming?” self-assessment, a composite mentor map and goal declaration, a personal crucible narrative, their top leadership values with alignment scores, a team-health diagnostic, a Skill/Will team map, and a 90-day leadership transformation plan.
